"Rohan combines all the elements of basic fantasy -- a young hero, mentors, villains, something to be saved, special powers and, of course, magical creatures -- with great storytelling that appeals to a wide audience." KIRKUS REVIEWS

Short story contest winners announced

For the past six years, my husband and I have hosted a children's writing contest in our area. The Brome Bright Lights Short Story Contest invites children in English elementary schools in the Brome-Missisquoi region of Quebec to submit stories for a chance to win cash prizes. A group of six judges picks one winner from each grade category and then an overall winner to receive the Grand Prize. Our top winner (among 103 contestants) this year was Madison Edwards, a grade 3 student at Knowlton Academy.

For a complete photographic list of the winners and runners-up, please go to our page at www.facebook.com/bromebrightlights.
