"Rohan combines all the elements of basic fantasy -- a young hero, mentors, villains, something to be saved, special powers and, of course, magical creatures -- with great storytelling that appeals to a wide audience." KIRKUS REVIEWS

How I learned Archery

In Weaverworld children are taught riding, archery and falconry. To write about these things I used my own experiences in combination with research. Archery was an easy one because I actually spent several years doing Kyudo, a Zen bow-and-arrow practice. This beautiful blend of art, meditation and exercise is taught at a school called a dojo, and in Montreal the dojo is called "Suiko Kyudojo".
